Khaptad, An Introduction

In this article I am writing about the places which are naturally beautiful and some are important in cultural aspect, and also about how to reach 'Khaptad' from
Silgadhi, the headquarter of Doti district. We can reach Silgadhiboth by roadways and airways. It is cheaper to come by roadways than by airways.
From roadways we can reach 'Attaria' alon Mechi-Mahakali Highway, which is the end of the Terai region and then hilly region starts from which along Dhangadhi to Dipayal Highway we can reach Silgadhi. In Sligadhi there is a most popular temple' Shaileswari Mandir'. In Silgadhi you can have comfortable beds and healthy foods. We have to walk from Silgadhi to Khaptad. It takes people 2 days from Silgadhi but people also reach there in a day.
We have to take foods from Silgadhi to Khaptad because between Silgadhi and Khaptad the fast foods are costly. We also have to take woolen or warm clothes to Khaptad because it a very cold region. From Silgadhi Khaptad is about 3000ft. high in altitude.
Khaptad is also known as a place of 52 'Patan' and 53 'Taal'. At the west of Khaptad N.P. office there is a kuti of late. Khaptad baba (1008 Khaptad Sachidanand Sharaswati Swami). Near Baba's kuti, there is a patan known as 'Ghoda Dauna ' where about 500 horses are foung grazing. There are huge number of Patans wher small planes can land easily. In the month of Jestha there's held a mela as 'Dashara' where about more than 20,000 people can be seen. People come from different parts of countries and other countries. In Khaptad there are different and large no. of flowers cab be seen.
